Our Story
A small, invitation-led retreat brand built on one belief: transformation cannot be scaled.
For the Curious & the Committed
A brief, honest primer on three practices central to your time on the island — no prior experience required.
No Equipment Needed
Sound healing is often pictured as singing bowls and gongs — but the oldest form needs nothing but the human voice and breath. Chanting, toning, and mantra repetition use vocal vibration to slow the nervous system, the same way a long exhale audibly calms a room. Sessions here are led entirely through voice, breath, and rhythm — nothing to buy, learn, or bring with you.
The Awakening
In the yogic tradition, Kundalini is described as a dormant energy resting at the base of the spine, activated through breath-led movement, sustained postures, and chanting. Practitioners describe a rising warmth or release as this energy moves upward through the body. Guided gently and progressively — intense by design, but never rushed, and always optional.
The Energy Centres
Chakras are the seven energy centres the yogic tradition maps along the spine, from the base to the crown of the head — each associated with a different physical, emotional, or spiritual quality. Explore the full map below, including where modern anatomy quietly agrees with ancient body-mapping.
Good to Know

Long before yoga meant a physical practice, it named four distinct paths toward the same goal — self-realization. Every retreat here draws on all four, in different measure.
Yogic tradition maps each chakra to a corresponding endocrine gland. Tap each one to see the correspondence — including the Heart Chakra's genuinely concrete link to the thymus, a real organ central to the body's immune system.
संस्कृत — "refined, well-formed"
the opposite of
प्रकृति — "nature"
Nearly every foundational yoga text — the Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita, the Hatha Yoga Pradipika — was composed in Sanskrit, the language at the very origin of the practice. Fittingly, its name means the opposite of nature in the same tongue — Prakriti — from which the vernacular "Prakrit" languages take their name. Yoga, in a sense, has always sat at the meeting point of the two: refined practice, applied to natural being.
Why We Started
Inward Action began with a simple frustration: most yoga retreats are built to be booked, not felt. Bigger groups, fuller calendars, more rooms to sell. We built the opposite — a retreat capped at a size small enough that everyone in the circle is actually seen, held on a private island that can't be scaled up even if we wanted to.
The Full Moon structure came from the same instinct. Rather than running identical retreats on a rolling calendar, every retreat length — from a single evening to seven days — converges on the same night, at the same island, closing together. It's a structure that mirrors the practice itself: different starting points, one shared arrival.
Every cycle is priced to reflect that scarcity honestly, not through countdown timers or fake urgency — spaces are genuinely capped at 15 to 25 guests, and pricing rises modestly with each cycle as availability tightens.
Who Leads It
Lead Facilitator, Inward Action
Teaching yoga since 2018, Arnold holds a 200-hour Teacher Training Certification and draws on a study of the Shiv Puran alongside the science and practice of Hatha, Vinyasa, breathwork, chakra cleansing, and kundalini yoga — from Mumbai to Pushkar, and now on Sai Island in Goa. Every Inward Action retreat is held with the same spirit: honesty, patience, self-practice, and service, guiding the experience without positioning himself as a guru.
What Guides Us
Every cycle is genuinely capped — not a marketing figure, an actual limit on how many people can be on the island at once.
Sessions are offered, not mandatory. Your time on the island is yours to direct.
We explain what we teach in plain language, including where tradition and modern anatomy genuinely agree — and where they don't.
A voluntary digital detox culture — no phones confiscated, just genuinely less need for them once you're here.
